Art jamming is a collaborative event that has been popping up around Singapore with different themes and genres that have been drawing in a variety of people who want to feel the creative energy found at these events. From calligraphy to 3D printing, there are many activities you can take part in at these events so come out and try it for yourself!
The term “jam” comes from jazz music where musicians would spontaneously create new compositions by improvising together – this is the same idea behind art jams. Everyone brings their own medium (music or visual arts) and creates something together on the spot. This gives everyone an opportunity to get out of their comfort zone and try different things.

Art Jams are a place for artists and creatives to come together and express themselves in different ways, from photography to sculpture. It’s a great way to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. Everybody has been looking for the perfect outlet for their creativity. The art jam is a unique event that offers a fun and stimulating experience. There’s nothing quite like walking into an art jamming event where you can smell the paints, feel the sculptures, and watch people take photos with their friends. Art jams are a time where you can do something different with your friends or even by yourself without having much pressure on doing anything in particular other than simply exploring the space available at the art jamming venue. You might even discover a hidden talent you never knew you had or meet talented people with a drive to make art together.
Art jamming is being hosted in Singapore on a more regular basis, from themed photography jams to 3D printing design sessions. The common factor that ties these events all together is the enthusiasm and passion of those who run them. These events are a great way for people interested in art to cut loose and feel the creative energy that can be found in this event.
These art jams generally offer a variety of activities depending on the theme. For example, a photography jamming session might have three different photo booths with different categories such as props you can use, where you’ll go out and take photographs using the specified props. There will also be a section where you can put together your own photo booth. You can even see some more experimental art jams that include creating graffiti in the dark with nothing but LED lights and spray paint, or sketching photos of each other with just pencils and paper!
There isn’t much pressure to do anything specific at these events, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who are all having fun and experimenting with different art forms. You can spend the entire time jumping from place to place attending each activity, or you could even do something simple like sit down by yourself and create your own version of a photo booth in the style of your choice – simply enjoy being in the company of other art-lovers.
The future of art jamming in Singapore will most likely be determined by how much the public wants to take part in these events. The more we want to take part, the more art jams will pop up and we will have a higher emphasis on the creativity of the people within these jams. Art jamming is a concept of bringing different members of the community together through art. Whether they are beginners or have been doing it for a long time, everyone can feel the creative energy found within these events and it brings a sense of satisfaction when you see your work on display or being sold to other people. Art Jamming in Singapore is a great way to spend an evening.
It’s more than just painting-it’s also about learning new skills, meeting other artists, and giving back to the community.
Artists come together in groups of five or six at least once a month to share their skills with each other and learn from one another. They have the opportunity not only to improve their own work but also make new friends in the process. Plus, it’s fun! What could be better than spending time with people who share your love of art? If you’re interested in learning how art jamming Singapore can help you get started as an artist or if you’re looking for ways to give back through art-read on!
All you need is two or three basic supplies and an open mind! You might also want to prepare a reference image to help you get started. If you do want a head-start at art jamming, you may also want to do some research on painting techniques and sketching techniques.
There are some materials with which it’s a good idea to start, like paint.
Our art jamming workshop provides a wide variety of materials for use during the session to help you create your very own artwork.
First, would be paint. Our acrylic paint is of high quality so the colour pay-off is accurate and bright. It is also one of the easiest mediums to work with as compared to using oil pastels or watercolour. Acrylic paints are also waterproof, so you can choose to paint on tote bags, ceramic tiles, or even canvas pouches.
Second would be paintbrushes. Different paintbrushes can have different effects on your artwork. There are paintbrushes that have rounded tips (perfect for dotting), or broad-tip brushes (perfect for painting backgrounds).
Third would be a water bucket. The water bucket allows you to do a quick rinse of your paintbrushes before applying your next coat of paint. This allows you to be fully focused in the art jamming session without the need for frequent trips to the washroom to wash the brush.
Of course, there are other materials provided to supplement your art jamming experience, but note that these 3 materials are the most important of them all!
Art Jamming is the act of going out into the world with a variety of creative materials, meeting up with other like-minded people, making new friends while sharing your skills, and giving back to the community. It’s an opportunity for artists to give thanks to the world by leaving it a little more beautiful than we found it.
