Instruction to make the scented candles

Now that we know what materials are needed, we should get to the instructions part. This is the section where you learn exactly how to make scented candles by using the required material mentioned above. Let’s get to it:

  1. Get the Glass Container and Measure the Wax

For safety reasons, we would recommend you use only the sturdy glass container. You need to fill the container with wax before you melt it. Because this will give you an idea of how much is required to make a candle. Make sure you do not fill the jar too much. This is just to make certain that you use the right amount so that it does not look weird and the candle looks good when it’s lit.

  1. Melt the Wax

You need to put the Soy wax in the double boiler and melt it at low to medium heat. I would not recommend you to melt wax in the pot because the wax will stick to your pot after it’s dry again. So if you see that soy wax flakes are taking more time to melt then you should increase the heat a bit. Now stir it with chopsticks or a stirring device. You have to be precise with it while making sure that it does not burn.

  1. Add essential oils

Essential oils are liquid that is extracted from plants. They have a very refreshing plant scent. Once you have your wax melted, you need to add 10 to 20 drops of essential oils to the double boiler. The amount of essential oil you will add will totally depend upon the type of essential oil being used.

  1. Wick attachment and pouring wax

Attach the wick at the bottom of the jar with some wax. Make sure the wick is in the center, it also comes with a flat metal bottom. The flat metal bottom will help you adjust the wick in the center of your glass jar. Now pour the wax into your container and hold the wick until the wax hardens. Instead of a flat metal thing, you can also use chopsticks to hold the wick in place. After an hour or so the wax will fully harden and you just have to trim the wick and you are good to go.
