Leather Book Binding Workshop
Leather and Bookbinding works well in the hands of crafters, yet works just as efficiently with one who works hard and learns with passion. This is especially the case for our three to four hour long Leather Bookbinding workshop. However, for safety, this workshop is permitted for a limitation of four to twenty participants aged 13 and above only. Whether or not you’re here to indulge in something new, or to sharpen your skills in the best of both worlds – leather craftsmanship and bookbinding – here at Epic Workshops, we pride in ensuring that you’ll get your hands involved in some handy craftwork and technique to make your own practical and specially customised book with our variety of leather pieces!

EPIC Workshops Leather Bookbinding workshops is the combination of our pre-existing leather crafting workshops, however with a twist – an addition of bookbinding! Our previous leather crafting workshops consisted of a leather coin pouch, and key fob, along with a name card. However, for this workshop, clients will amass the saddle stitching technique, along with another paper fastening technique to stitch their own product, a leather book cover and text block, gaining insightful experience similar to a leather craftsman and bookbinder.
Leather Book Binding Workshop Details
Group Size
We require a minimum of 4 pax to 20 pax to start our leather book binding workshop.
Duration
It will take about two to four hours, depending on the version you pick.
- Gluing leather cover and stitching text block
- Stitching the cover only
- Gluing both the cover and the text block
You are able to inquire for any other versions by contacting us before the workshop.
Materials Provided (based on workshop chosen)
- Cutting Board
- Rotary Cutter
- Adhesive Glue
- Leather piece
- A4 Cardstock paper
- 40 pieces loose sheets of paper, B5
- One sheet of white craft paper
- Nylon or Polyester (waxed?) Thread
- Needle
Convenient Location
Take Exit B from Marymount MRT and walk towards MAPEX building. Proceed to the third floor via the lift and exit through 2 doors on the right to the carpark. We are located right at the end!
Professional Trainers
Our workshop will have a main trainer with a few facilitators. The number of facilitators will depend on the number of participants within a workshop setting. Each trainer or facilitator will be assigned to a few participants during the workshop to ensure that full guidance and assistance is provided.
